The Mälardalen University Scholarship Programme is a fully funded scholarship for outstanding international students. Mälardalen University, located in Sweden, is a renowned institution offering a wide range of master’s programs across various disciplines. MDU is committed to providing high-quality education and fostering an international academic environment.

Aim and Benefits

The Mälardalen University Scholarship Programme aims to support highly qualified international students from countries outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland who are required to pay tuition fees. The scholarship covers 100% of the tuition fee for the duration of the master’s program, provided that students adhere to the standard study plan, which requires completing a minimum of 22.5 credits per semester and 45 credits per academic year. It is important to note that the scholarship does not cover living expenses. 

Requirements

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must:

1. Apply for a master’s program at Mälardalen University as their first choice through the national admissions portal, universityadmissions.se, by January 15, 2025.
2. Pay the application fee by the specified deadline.
3. Be a citizen of a country outside the EU/EEA/Switzerland and be required to pay tuition fees.
4. Note that students from the following countries are not eligible for this scholarship and should instead apply for the Swedish Institute Study Scholarship: Bangladesh, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mali, Mozambique, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zambia.

1. Apply for a master’s program at Mälardalen University via universityadmissions.se by January 15, 2025, ensuring that Mälardalen University is selected as your first choice.
2. Complete the scholarship application form, which can be found on the official Mälardalen University website.
3. Submit the completed scholarship application form along with your other supporting documents to universityadmissions.se by February 3, 2025.
