The University of Bath ESRC Postdoctoral Fellowship is co-funded Postdoctoral Research Program collaboration hosted at the University of Bath by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) and the South West Doctoral Training Partnership (SWDTP).
Currently, the joint body is inviting applications for its prestigious Postdoctoral Fellowships for 2025. These fellowships aim to support early-career researchers in advancing their academic careers by refining their PhD work, enhancing their publication records, and building professional networks.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for this opportunity, applicants must have completed their PhD at a UK research organization. Furthermore, candidates should have less than 12 months of active postdoctoral experience (full-time equivalent) by the application deadline. This period is calculated from the date of their viva voce examination.

How To Apply
The University of Bath will support up to four applications for the regional call. To select the strongest candidates, the university will conduct an internal selection process.

Interested applicants are required to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) by January 20, 2025. After an initial internal assessment, successful candidates will be invited to participate in a briefing and writing session scheduled for January 31, 2025. The final application must then be submitted to the SWDTP by March 25, 2025.
