Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the University of Twente Scholarship, candidates must meet the following requirements:
Applicants must first gain admission to one of the eligible master’s programs at the University of Twente for the 2025/2026 academic year, with studies beginning in September. Admission results may take up to eight weeks after application completion. Candidates must have a student number, must not have previously graduated from a UT graduate program, and must fulfill the requirements for obtaining a Dutch entry visa, if applicable.

Applicants must meet the English language proficiency requirements, including an Academic IELTS score of 6.5 or TOEFL iBT score of 90, with a minimum subscore of 6.0 (TOEFL iBT 20) in speaking skills. Candidates must not be eligible for a Dutch study loan and should belong to the top 5 to 10 percent of their class to demonstrate academic excellence.
How To Apply
To apply for the UTS, candidates must first apply for an eligible master’s program at the University of Twente. Upon receiving a conditional admission letter, applicants can proceed to apply for the scholarship using their student number.
Application Deadline
The scholarship application opens in two rounds. Round 1 begins on 15 October 2024, with a deadline of 1 February 2025. Round 2 begins on 1 February 2025 and closes on 1 May 2025.
